American Literature Monthly

Monarch American Literature is a semester-long, online Christian homeschool elective that surveys key authors, works, and literary movements that have shaped the United States. Students read and analyze fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and drama, exploring themes such as freedom, faith, and moral responsibility.

From early colonial writings to contemporary voices, the course helps students understand literature within its historical and cultural context. With a focus on critical thinking and biblical integration, students learn to evaluate ideas and messages through the lens of God’s truth.
